Kitchen Solvers Customer Review: Tom and Pat Falbo of Spring Grove, MN

Kitchen Solvers Customer Review: Tom and Pat Falbo of Spring Grove, MN

Couple saved thousands, came back for more remodeling help

Pat and Tom Falbo of Spring Grove, Minn., wanted to update their kitchen, but they were shocked when they visited a big box store to explore their options and realized that the job was going to cost much, much more than they expected.

“The cabinets alone were going to cost $12,000,” Tom says.

Labor for the installation more than doubled the price to $25,000. A full kitchen remodel looked like it would be far too expensive, so the couple started looking for alternatives.

That’s when they found Kitchen Solvers

Franchisee Suzie Crowley in La Crosse, WI told the Falbos about solid-wood kitchen cabinet refacing, a high-end form of refacing that is Kitchen Solvers’ specialty. Refacing preserves older cabinet boxes, which are often still in great shape, by removing worn-out doors, drawers, hinges and hardware, then covering the sturdy cabinet boxes with furniture-grade plywood that allows Kitchen Solvers to create a new, custom look. All of the old drawers, doors and hardware are replaced with new, stylish doors and drawers. The end result is a kitchen that looks — and functions — as if it is brand new.

For the Falbos, cabinet refacing was also an incredible bargain. Instead of spending $25,000 for a beautiful new kitchen, they paid about $6,000.

How did they like the results?

“We now have solid cherry doors and you wouldn’t know that they’re not new cabinets,” Pat says.

Tom and Pat were so impressed that they came back into Suzie’s showroom earlier this year to ask her to redo some cabinets in their basement and to build a new island for the kitchen.

“We weren’t going to have our island done,” Tom says. “I had made one out of oak, but now our kitchen is too nice, so now we’re coming back.”
